The magazine before you exemplifies a writer’s sense of control, authenticity, purpose, and ambition. I trust that you will appreciate the rich words of these exemplary writers. As writing itself can act as a bridge between the writer and the rest of society, turning these pages represents crossing that bridge in order to uncover one of the many treasures of the Goodwin College community. We get to hear what issues prevail, what statements permeate, and what events inspire — to see what really matters today — in one community of vibrant students, scholars, teachers, staff, and administrators. It is my hope that you read, reread, share, store, and ultimately cherish this third edition of The Beacon.
