ENG 300 Advanced Composition


The Family Medical Leave Act, or FMLA, was passed in 1993. The goal of this legislation was to make America more fair and family-friendly. It enables eligible male or female employees of covered employers to take an unpaid leave for a specific family and medical reasons, and to be able to have their job protected and to maintain their health insurance with the same terms and conditions


Jessica Nadeau is a student at Goodwin College majoring in Health Science, and she has applied to their Nursing program. She has worked as a nursing assistant for 20 years, and is the mother of two teenagers. She enjoys reading and writing in her spare time.
