Abstract

Collaborative nursing combines all disciplines and ranks of nursing to work towards the shared goal of providing quality nursing care. In addition to teamwork, collaboration must involve shared objectives in which participating nurses heed the same value system. Effective, honest, respectful, and purposeful communication will also achieve successful collaborative nursing goals. This method has delivered a higher quality of care to patients and has enhanced the overall patient experience.
